Reflección sobre mi película

July 21, 2008

I learned that working in a group you will need to work as a team especially if your making an iMovie and you have to work with other classmates. I also learned that it takes a lot of time to make an iMovie. The hard part was planning on what your iMovie was going to be about, that took us like forever. Another hard part was kind of making a storyboard because your thinking in your mind, that you know what your going to film and stuff, but when it’s time to film, your not even ready. The easy part was editing the iMovie that we made because it was fun ;) especially getting to add the special effects. I learned that Spanish isn’t a very difficult language, people may think it is, but once you learn about it, you will see that their is more to it besides the pronunciation. I could make this project better by not being afraid to be in front of the video camera

Wiki Reflection

July 21, 2008

I learned about Mexico while I was making the Wiki and all about it’s culture and holidays and etc. This Wiki project was difficult because we had to research everything, unless you already had background information about your topic or something. It was also difficult because we had our own Wiki page; but the teacher didn’t tell us how we should design/do it. The easy part wasn’t really anything because most of it was really hard. I think we did this assignment so we could learn more about out topic. I think the assignment was important because it helped us learn what we needed to do to make a Wiki and plus we got to research out own topic, which was kinda fun :] I learned that working with another person in assignment, that you needed to cooperate and work together on the project. Another problem was that two people can’t work on the Wiki at the same time, or it’s going to delete everything that you have done so far. So one person had to research something and the other person had to work on the Wiki

End of the Year

July 21, 2008

This year in Spanish class has been a little tough for me. I’ve gone through the beginning of the Semester learning how to say simple words such as dog, cat, chocolate, and other stuff; to asking where the bathroom is. One reason I took this class, was so I could learn another language besides what I speak already. Some advice that I would give a seventh grader taking Spanish class as an elective is never give up on yourself even if you can’t say a word in Spanish, all you gotta do is ask.

#10 Libro Scavenger Hunt Mercedes R.

July 21, 2008

We did this activity to learn how to use our textbooks in an easier and faster way. I learned that there are more ways searching through a textbook than just looking in the Table of Contents. This is important because if you ever have a timed test or something, you can use the strategies you’ve learned.

We did this to show how if you wanted us to find infomation or if we wanted too.The activity mainly was to find out about the section, understand it and complete. It is important because we should know where all the sections for assignment, help(It can be used as a reference)or to knowledge us.I learned how to find the sections, whats in it from the index. Another important one was ar er ir forms, how to conrugrate them into the right verb. Knowing everything about the book is one step to knowing spanish.

In the movie I learned more about spanish, and it was a fun making a movie. What was hard was that some times it was loud in the backround and leople kept on walking when were filming. What was easy was editing the movie. And what I learned about spanish is it is easy. How we could have done better is to speak louder.

working with my group on the video project was somewhat difficult because some people wouldn’t participate, and some people couldnt remember their line. But my over all grade i would give myself would probably be a B- maybe but my groups grade i would probably give us a A minus. Because behind the scenes we did terrible because there was a lot of fighting and argueing and a lot of disagrements about things but in front of the camera we got our job done. our movie wasn’t the best but it was good enough i guess.

#8 Gallery Walk

July 20, 2008

1. THE GALLERY WALK HELPED ME UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENT CONJUGATIONS AND IT ALSO GAVE ME A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE REASONS OF USING CONJUGATIONS.

2. WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THE GALLERY WALK IS THE FACT THAT I CAN SEE OTHER PEOPLE’S UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONJUGATIONS AND THAT I NOW KNOW THAT IF I HAVE TROUBLE WITH THE CONJUGATIONS I CAN LOOK AT OTHER PEOPLES POSTER .

#12 End of the year

July 20, 2008

My year in spanish class has been really hard but i learned a lot of new things that i never knew about.I wasn’t here for the whole year but i feel i learned just as much as the rest of the students. I would probably tell the people that will take this class next year that they have to study A LOT and pay close attention to every little ruleand important things. I would also tell them that this is a really hard class to me but to other people it’s a little easier ,but this class also give you a lot of new benefits becuase most people in california speak spanish.

End of year

This year was very interesting. though there was ups and downs every body got through it all. I enjoyed working with other people because it helped me understand that we work as a team. I have worked well with everybody in the class i hope i can see all of these people again next year. i am really looking foward to this next year in Spanish because i  would like it to count in my high school year.  My favorite project was our movie project and the wiki because they helped me mostly. i can’t wait till next year.

Wiki Reflection

July 14, 2008

I learned a lot of new things because of our wiki project. It was really hard trying to find other links from the wiki that were related to my topic. It was really easy to get all the information and putting it all together. I think we did this to learn more about the many interesting things you know if you are hispanic. I think this assignment was important because we now know there is more to the latin culture than most people knew before. I learned that you can’t always rely on someone else to help you with something because sometimes they might say they’ll do something and they don’t.

End of Year, Carmen Z.

July 14, 2008

I had an interesting time in spanish class this year. I did very well when I had to take tests and when we had to work with others. I wasn’t very good on the individual projects and I had to work on completing my homework. Any advice I’d give to a stdent taking this class would be to try and stay on task as well as to use his or her spare time in class wisely. If a student follows this advice he or she will do well and will probably not fall behind. I learned a lot of things in this class that have helped me do better.

Wiki Reflection

July 13, 2008

What I learned from making a wiki is to how to make a wiki. At first I didn’t really understand how to start off with me and my partner’s wiki page. We then was able to set up a plan for my partner to start researching and when she finds something, I’ll type it in the wiki page. I thought the wiki assignment was pretty easy because all we had to do is to get research from the internet and then type it in on a wiki page. I think the reason that we did this assignment was to be able to understand what a wiki is and that we know how to put accurate information into stuff on the internet for everyone to see. I learned that we had to divide our work into both of us in order to have a fair share of our grade and for both of us to have equal fun. Hopefully we can do this assignment again next year in 8th grade. :)

End Of the Year

July 13, 2008

I like to say that I had some ups and downs during my spanish class year. Even though i had some downs, I did have alot of fun this year. I learned so many new vocabulary words for spanish. The subject that i understood the most this year in spanish was learning the numbers and how to tell time. But all the other stuff, i just couldn’t get the hang of. All I know is that I tried my best in all subjects. My advice that I would give to a seventh grader next year is to go with the flow of a subject even though it seems hard at first. I’ll also tell them to study hard on tests and don’t be like me and forget what you studied the other night. I hope that i will get excepted into spanish next year in 8th grade. :)

What I learned from making a wiki is learning another way to display data that you know.  You also got to see others’ work.  The easiest thing was organizing the page.  The hardest thing was coming up with answers and pasting photos to your page.  I think this assignment was important because it showed what you know about the subjects we’ve studied in Spanish so far.  I think we did this assignment to display your knowledge in a creative way.  I learned it’s not always easy relying on someone else to work on something.  You have to work as a team in order to get work done.

Spanish class was fun and sometimes difficult.  It was fun getting to learn a new language.  My strengths would be conjugating verbs and my weakness is the accents.  I never know where to put them if I can’t pronounce the word.  To 7th graders taking Spanish, the key things you need to do to pass is study, do your homework, and pay attention.  The more you stay caught up the easier the class is.  In conclusion, learning Spanish was an interesting experience.

End of the Year

July 11, 2008

This year was easy, partially because I already knew Spanish, I just didn’t know how to pronounce the words. I think this year also helped me understand the Mexican Culture more, like what they do for Christmas. I thought did what Americans, but they don’t they have more celebration. The things that were hard was pronouncing, but now I think I am better at speaking and understanding Spanish more. This year was fun especially when we got to share our food in November, that project was fun.

I had a lot of fun in Spanish Class. I learned a lot of new things that will help throughout life. Some of the things that I learned were how to conjugate verbs, how to use iMovie, TONS of vocabulary, verb and pronoun rules, and many, many helpful things thanks to Señorita Murrell. It was an amaz

My Spanish Class this year has been very successful. Every activity that we have done has been fun. I would advise the next 7th grader taking this course to be ready to take alot of notes! Notes are what helped me in this class. I look forward in taking this class again in high school

Wiki reflection-camila

July 11, 2008

When making the wiki I learned that to show people where you got all your information you had to have proof and go to easy bib.The easy parts were getting the pictures because you just had to look. The difficult part washaving to look thriugh different pages in my spanish book for my topic since we didn’t learn it yet. We did this assignment so we can show others what we know from spanish class and what we learned. This assignment was important because this was our technology studyguide to help us ont he exam. Working with another person is difficult because you have to tell one another what time you’ll work on it and tell each other who explains what.

End of the year-camila

July 11, 2008

Some of my strengths were the activities we had to do such as worksheets and making posters that describes ourselves. Some of my weaknesses were tests i knew the vocabulary and I studied a lot but when I took the tests I freaked out. My other weakness was pronouncing the words in spanish. For the next year 7th graders i would say to be prepared on learning new things I didn’t even know that writing in spanish could be so difficult with conjugating words. Don’t worry to much about always saying the words right because at the end when you make a mistake you’ll learn. Ms.Murrell may have hartd times explaining things so you can always ask a native speaker questions but not for answers because then she’ll go harder on you.

Wiki reflection

July 11, 2008

I think the wiki is hard. This project kicked my butt. I was not focused and I started lagging and goofing off plus i didn’t know what I was doing. Even though my wiki was bad the information was correct. Thats what I liked about it.

WHAT I LEARN FROM MAKING A WIKI PAGE

July 10, 2008

I learn a whole lot about numbers for example the rules of the numbers and I alsolearn how to work with a partner acually not really because I had a harde time. I think working in the wiki page was really hard because you had to search about the numbers rules like the hundreds, ones, tenths, and twentys. To me working in the wiki page about numbers wasn’t easy.  I think this assignment is really important because also people could learn from it this is the reason I think that the wiki page is important.
